Fresh label operation Gladio Operations are embarking on a new spate of releases. Extending the idea of splitting a slab of wax between artists to the music itself, ‘Split Machine’ is the latest from French-Spanish collaborators Jauzas The Shining and Cycloplex, united in their taste for rugged electro. Even so, their respective styles shine through nicely here: The former delivers three cuts of aggressive and textured basslines, while the latter offers two tracks of comparatively hypnotic rhythms.
