Sauveur Mallia – Spatial & Co Vol. 2
Despite his great output, Sauveur Mallia is not one of electronic disco’s household names. He made much of his music in the 70s and 80s with various different people but his solo work is up there with the best of it. It got a well-deserved reissue on Be With which is now reissued again and is a second volume of the synth-drizzled French disco producer’s dreamy sounds. In all, there are seven spangled tunes here from the clipped funk of the opener to the retro-future sci-fi depths of ‘Space People’ via the leggy and funky guitar plucks of ‘Bass Power’ this is a superb collection.
