CYMKA ‎– Untitled

Cymka is a French producer who hails from Lyon in the south – normally a place associated with gastronomy rather than grooves. He is also a member of the BMK crew, who are known for vibey parties and associated sounds on the label. He debuts here on BinarySound’s limited vinyl series BS-LTD, staring with ’80’s Temptations’, a retro-future analogue jam, then the purposeful house weight of ‘C-Fonk’ which is brought to life with fat arps and melodic sci-fi flashes. ‘L’Amour A La Plage’ is another raw, ice cold and metallic house jam with sinewy synths and chopped up vocals then ‘Free Yourself’ takes off on some more silky astral melodies, though the analogue drums remain tight and potent.
