Djedjotronic – Smog On The Dancefloor EP

Frenchman Djedjotronic makes raw, brain frying electro and techno fusions that have so far come on labels like Boysnoize Records, CPU and ZONE. Now more than a decade into his career he lands on Italo Moderni with more stark and strobe-lit sounds. There is no messing on the opener ‘Smog On The Dancefloor (feat Rein)’ which is a dark wave macho disco pumper. It’s the same with ‘Frozen’ and its barrage of caustic synth lines and distant Italo melodies. ‘Circus’ picks up the pace with whip-snapping drum breaks and eerie chords and ‘Not Real’ shuts down with turbocharged synth energy and more haunting atmospheres.
