Emerson – Sending All My Love Out

Kalita Records continues to dig out, dust off and reissue genuine disco and boogie «holy grails». The latest killer jam rescued from impossible-to-find obscurity is Emerson’s ‘Sending All My Love Out’, a sweet, stuttering and deliciously synth-heavy electro-boogie number topped off with a wonderfully soulful lead vocal. First time around, it slipped out on a single-sided, private press seven-inch – hence the track’s ‘impossible to find’ status. For this first ever 12″ version, the admirable reissue label has not only added Emerson’s equally as admirable demo version (which had naturally sat unissued since the 80s) but also two fresh revisions. Electro legend Egyptian Lover delivers a punchier, harder and more squelchy take in his signature style, before Detroit In Effect deliver a deeper, smoother, warmer and lightly funkier interpretation.
