Franck Kartell – Schnorchell EP

Franck Kartell released ‘Schnorchell’ on a shoestring in 2006. It was the Frenchman’s second EP after the equally good ‘The Sound Of The Future’, though this was a producer whose artistic ontogeny would hardly follow a normal course, having set about his EPs game long before he released his first album in 2014. The A-side so named came reined by a B-sider horseman replete with B2 sidecar, ‘Nuit Blanche’ and ‘The Day After’, and all the tracks are serious dermabrasive drives, proving just how easy it is to craft a compelling track seemingly out of a few rusted old nuts and bolts (proverbially speaking).
