Gunjack – Breakfast at the Guillotine

LA’s Brian Gibbs aka Gunjack’s second outing on his own House Of Jack label comes with Breakfast At The Guillotine, a short, six-track LP on limited gold vinyl. Now based in the city of Angels but with roots in Berlin’s techno underground, Gunjack has long toyed with custom-modified gear, pulling apart vintage synths and bending FM engines into jagged new textures. The record leans into that process, fusing grit and precision in equal measure, title cut rattling with rickety weight, while Oliver Kucera – known from Djax and R&S – reworks the material with his own hard-edged flair.
