JSPRV35 – Intergalactic Funk EP

Dutch producer JSPRV35 plugs into the outer limits on the ‘Intergalactic Funk’ EP, the second drop on Planet Rhythm’s Electro World Nation sublabel. Over five tracks, he wires up classic machine funk tropes to a high-voltage mainframe, throwing sharp snares, warped basslines and alien bleeps into the signal path. ‘Da Chevy’ and ‘Planet Express’ show off a prowly, night-scuttling side, where manhole steam and deer-searching headlights coalesce into a yearning steam; ‘Intrakt’ closes on much less forgiving terms, permitting no expression of emotion between tattling, falling acids.
