Julio J, aka Californian-born Julian Smith, resurfaces with ‘Rhythm Vault I’ on his SFR imprint, showcasing his ability to evolve through multiple aliases. Known initially as Don Froth and later as Jane In Palma, this EP marks a return to form with a modern, tightly wound house sound. The four tracks offer a blend of broken beat and UKG influences, while inventive percussion and razor-sharp production give each track a distinct, spacious feel.
