Though many a label head may besot the name Love Records, this relatively new, serial French 12″ outlet restores the name from cliche to clincher: in a third round of four newly purloined disco-edit letters, our ears are once again left as tingly as lips after a French kiss. After two establishing discs set the formula – happily anonymous, uncredited unstoppables with titles referencing original numbers – we hear ‘Honey’,
‘Love Side’, ‘Room’ and ‘La Costa’ push the sonic boat of love out to increasingly treacherous, risque waters.
