Melchior Productions returns with a new 12″ via his own My King Is Light imprint, this time linking up with Mischa Blanos, Romanian-Russian pianist and producer, and one-third of the acclaimed Amorf trio with Cristi Cons and Vlad Caia. ‘Push’, ‘First Eva’ and ‘Spirit Of 23’ hear the two weave detailed programming and crystalline sound design into a subtly shifting strain of minimal house. The EP forecloses the curtain on drama, instead homing in on nuance, textures flitting in and out of various digital shimmers and tactile grits. Melchior’s long loved flair for restraint leaves plenty space for Blanos’s melodic Midas touch, resultantly affecting a quiet radiance.
