Rob Pearson & Robin Ball – Don’t Put Up Wit Dat / The Right Vibes

Second time around for Rob Pearson and Robin Ball’s first collaborative release, a 2006, UK garage-influenced tech-house gem that feels more fresh and relevant in 2025 than it did almost 20 years ago. For proof, check title track ‘Don’t Put Up With That’, where lightly funky samples, mind-mangling electronic beats, spacey electronics and cut-up vocal snippets ride a deep, sub-heavy, speed garage style bassline and glitchy, tech-tinged drums. ‘The Right Vibes’ on side B also boasts serious sub-bass weight and wonky noises aplenty, but somehow seems deeper, smoother and even closer to the classic late 90s/early 2000s tech-house sound perfected by the likes of Terry Francis, Swag and Mr G.
