Distant Worlds welcomes back Sound Synthesis for a second outing of warm, melodic electro. The longstanding producer commands stark attention with his unique blend of snappy drums, unaffected synth sequencings and ample headroom ekes, all of which combine to reveal an increasing, slow-burning sophistications as the tracks develop. ‘Unification Of Harmony’ refuses to prepare us for its sci-fi bass-contrapuntal gut-punch of emotion occurring after its breakdown, while ‘Dear Ballacid’ gets generative with things, utilising wompy Reeses and rattling, randomised topper elements.
