Sub Basics – Time Codes EP

Sub Basics’ newest proposal ‘Time Codes’ hears the Kent DJ and producer find ample energy in the toothy topline: «sometimes you hear a sound which ruins you». The misophony that follows is a ruinous one indeed, with the iconoclastic ‘Vacuum’ leaving little room to breathe, and ‘Plasma’ further sucking all the red blood cells from our already rather vitrified ear veins, leaving behind an empty blood techno matrix. ‘Anomaly’ adds breaks to the B with a ruffly, featherweight detour, while ‘Field’ snaps back to depth, embiggening the raver’s soul with syntonic, tightly harmonised chords.
