Tiga & Zyntherius ‎– Sunglasses At Night

Astonishingly, 21 years have now passed since DJ Hell’s International Deejay Gigolos unleashed what would become one of the electroclash scene’s most enduring anthems: Tiga and Zyntherius’ ear-catching cover of Cory Hart’s deliciously OTT 1983 synth-pop smash ‘Sunglasses at Night’. As this reissue proves, the pair’s version has aged well – not least because it retains the key elements of Hart’s original (the memorable bassline, lyrics and vocals), whilst offering a tougher, faster groove, spacier synths and snappier old school electro references. As it did first time around, the Tiga/Jori Hulkonnen-produced gem comes backed with a gritty, noisy, breathless and intensely hard techno revision from German legend Chris Leibing.
