French label Gate 9 offers up a 12″ twilling label-shaping talents over four tracks: Pelle’s driving ‘When They See All Of Us’, Dani Labb’s groove-laden ‘Modern Conversations’, BufoBufo’s atmospheric ‘Meteor’, and Ruben’s remix of Art Fact’s ‘Problems’. A post-punk penitence saturates the whole groove, summoning images of high-topped boots, shaven heads, cast-iron trusses, factory catachreses. Artwork by Dr. C & Wired Pigments completes the package, lending the debut its distinct visual signature.
