Xarbi – Moragz

Hailing from Uruguay but based in Mainz, Xarbi bursts onto Mephis with a debut four-tracker that’s as playful as it is punchy. Opener ‘Chakkel Kim’ is a wiry, high-voltage electro workout, packed with squelches and rapid-fire drum programming. ‘Future G-Shock’ dials in more mechanical funk, its bassline bouncing with restless urgency. On the flip, ‘San Chii’ loosens the screws – a skewed, lopsided proggy-house loop. Closer ‘Happy Twenny’ turns up the mischief, pushing bright, fizzy synths over a low-end built for misbehaving sound systems. There’s a rawness to the production that never feels undercooked – just straight, unfiltered personality from an artist clearly having fun with the format. A lively introduction to a sound rooted in electro tradition but cheekily skewed towards the unexpected.
